✨ About the Audition

Join Ballet Embody’s Performance Ensemble for our 2026 production of Coppelia, performing March 14+15, 2026 at the Synergy Space Black Box Theater.

This audition is for dancers ages 8+ who are interested in performing in Coppelia only. Ensemble dancers will have 4 rehearsals to help bring Ballet Embody’s narrative production to life onstage. Rehearsal dates: February 1, February 8, March 1, March 8, and hold February 28 in the event of snow.

We are also welcoming dancers ages 18+ to audition for Coppelia's Performance Ensemble III. These dancers may also be considered for additional repertoire to perform alongside the Professional Company. Bring pointe shoes to your audition, if applicable.

🕰 Audition Schedule

• 2:00pm-2:45pm – Dancers ages 8–12

• 2:45pm-3:30pm – Dancers ages 13-17

• 3:30-4:00pm – Dancers ages 18+

All dancers must complete the registration form. Audition fee is $15 per participant.

• Register by selecting your ticket below, completing the registration form, and completing payment.

Expectations of accepted Performance Ensemble Dancers:

• Complete and return a signed contract and share rehearsal availability prior to the start of the season.

• Fees:

  • Ages 8–18: $195 participation fee + $85 costume fee (scholarships available)

  • Ages 18+: $85 costume fee only

• Adequately warm self up prior to rehearsal start times.

• Attend weekly rehearsals on Sundays and occasional Saturdays at Synergy Space in Westminster, MD with minimal absence. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as performances draw near.
