A professionally directed performance program for dancers ages 8+.
What is the Performance Ensemble?
Ballet Embody's Performance Ensemble provides dancers ages 8+ with meaningful performance opportunities in professionally directed productions. The program welcomes dancers from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels who are looking to continue performing, growing as artists, and contributing to Ballet Embody's artistic community.
Performance Ensemble dancers rehearse and perform alongside Ballet Embody's Professional Company and Student Company, helping bring original and classical ballet productions to life on stage.
Who is the Performance Ensemble for?
Performance Ensemble welcomes dancers who:

Are committed to rehearsing and growing within a supportive artistic community
Performance Opportunities
Performance Ensemble dancers are cast based on the needs of each production and may perform in:

The Maryland Nutcracker

Spring productions
-
Select community performances and special events
(Some productions may include additional rehearsal or casting requirements.)
DMV Adult Cohort
This season, Ballet Embody is launching the DMV Adult Cohort, a pilot initiative within the Performance Ensemble serving adult dancers throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia.
The cohort provides a dedicated rehearsal group for adult dancers while remaining part of Ballet Embody's larger Performance Ensemble. Participants rehearse locally in the DMV before joining the full cast for production rehearsals and performances.
