Madison Bonvissuto is from Baltimore, MD, and began studying classical ballet at age four in various programs around Baltimore. She continued her dance training in modern, jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary techniques at EMC Performing Arts Studio in New Freedom, PA, at The Towson Childrens Dance Division in Maryland, and with The Susquehanna Youth Ballet. Madison holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Towson University and she performs throughout the Baltimore area.
Madison is embarking on her second season with Ballet Embody.

Tell us about your dance background and training.
I started dancing when I was four and never stopped. I went to Towson University for my BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. I have trained at intensives with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Koresh Dance Company, and Christopher K Morgan & Artists. I've performed with Charm City Ballet from 2015 to present, and this is my second season with Ballet Embody!
What genre of dance is your favorite? Why?
Contemporary Ballet is my favorite because I love the discipline and structure of ballet with the creativity of contemporary.
What's your favorite full length ballet/performance/variation? Why?
Marianela Nunez performing Gamzatti in La Bayadere. I learned and performed this variation at a summer intensive in high school, and loved it. Nunez is my favorite ballerina of all time.
Why do you dance?
I grew up super shy, and dance was a way I could express myself, or even be someone else. Now I just need it.
If you wear pointe shoes, what kind do you wear?

What other jobs/activities/talents/passions do you pursue?
I love baking, going home for family dinners, rewatching Greys Anatomy, and taking care of my plants #plantmom
