Audition for the Professional Company
Ballet Embody seeks dancers to join the Professional Company for the 2024-25 Season.
Ballet Embody seeks both female and male professional company dancers for its upcoming 2024-25 performance season. The Company provides modest stipends for rehearsals and performances. Currently, we plan for several evening length performances in in the Fall Season, including The Maryland Nutcracker, and Spring Season. Additional performances are likely due to festival acceptance, gala invitations, etc.
Eligibility:

ages 21 and older

Able to work in the United States. Ballet Embody is unable to sponsor international artists at this time.

Ability to transport self to rehearsal location in alignment with the set rehearsal schedule.

Female dancers: Strong pointe work is preferred; dance partnering experience is preferred but not required.

Male dancers: Dance partnering experience is preferred but not required.
Due to the growth Ballet Embody has experienced, dancers are only able to audition for the Professional Company at the upcoming audition. Dancers are not invited to audition during Company Class at this time.

Expectations of accepted Professional Company Dancers:

Complete and return a signed contract and share rehearsal availability prior to the start of the season.

Attend a 45-60 minute Company warm-up (to include ballet, modern, or contemporary movement) prior to rehearsals.

Attend weekly rehearsals on Saturdays and occasional Sundays at Synergy Space in Westminster, MD with minimal absence. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as performances draw near.
To be considered for the professional company, register to attend an upcoming audition. If you're unable to attend a posted audition, please send your resume, dance pictures, and video presentation to Ballet Embody at balletembody [@] gmail.com for an alternative option. Video submissions are due the same night of a posted audition date and a response will follow that same week.
